Explore the fundamental reasons for relationships, the spiritual meaning of sex and the benefits and risks of tantric techniques in this special seminar with British spiritual psychologist Dave Oshana.
This seminar explores fundamental ideas about using sexual energy to achieve spiritual progress. Is it possible? Is it a distraction? What are the risks and dangers?
We will look at the ramifications of various sexual practices and habits from all angles including the emotional, mental, medical, energetic, social, spiritual and psychic.
The broad overview considers (where relevant): celibacy, seminal retention; polyamory, monogamy, serial monogamy, heterosexuality and homosexuality; multiple orgasm; solitude; masturbation; fantasy; spirit possession; karmic contamination; real and imagined personal and mental boundaries; past-life connections, complementarity, intimacy; pregnancy, reproduction, and child-birth; ancient tantric and neo-tantric, occult, kundalini-raising and taoist sexual practices.
Specifically, we will learn about physical, causal and cosmic energies, the incarnating soul's needs, differences between males and females, the deep function of orgasm, the relationship of the sex centre to the other energy centres of the body, side-effects of ejaculation, dangers of techniques which force or inhibit sexual energy, the hidden value of working with a regular partner and the spiritual blind-spots of relationships.
Please note that this seminar is a serious exploration of real spiritual energies. It is not a social or "dating-and-relating" event promoting artificial intimacy, forced stimulation, cheap thrills or titillation against a fanciful back-drop of pseudo-Hindu devotion. There will be no touching or in-class exercises; no gratuitous pornography, eroticism or nudity.
This seminar will be of immense practical value for those who have some experiential awareness of sexual energy and it effects.
You are welcome to ask questions during the appropriate intervals. However, this seminar is not a substitute for therapy relating to sexual issues nor is it a sex instruction course, although participants may enhance understanding of these areas upon successfully completing the event.
